Grilled Carne Asada

Grilled Carne Asada is a classic Mexican dish featuring marinated flank steak grilled to perfection. The citrusy marinade tenderizes the meat while infusing it with zesty flavors, making it a crowd-pleasing favorite for any barbecue or gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

To make the sauce, put orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, chopped cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl

Put the flank steak in a shallow dish or a plastic bag that can be closed again, and pour the marinade over it

Put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight with a lid or seal

Warm the grill up to a medium-high level

Take the steak out of the marinade and throw away the extra marinade

Grill steak for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it's done the way you like it

Take it off the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes

Then cut it across the grain

Add your favorite sides and serve hot
